What each tool does with your input
This matrix separates the processing used for the tool's task from ordinary website delivery, consent-based analytics and advertising. “This device” means the transformation is performed by JavaScript running in your browser; it is not a promise that your device or browser is secure.
Matrix last reviewed: 4 October 2026
| Tool | Task processing | Task network use | Important limit | Reviewed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calculator | This device | No task-data request | Finite browser-number precision; verify critical calculations | 4 Oct 2026 |
| Word Unscrambler | This device | Loads ToolNoova's same-origin word index | Results depend on the bundled English word list | 4 Oct 2026 |
| Password Studio | This device | No task-data request | Strength is an estimate; generated values still need secure storage | 4 Oct 2026 |
| Public IP Check | ipapi.co | Sends a lookup request to ipapi.co | Location is approximate and may represent a VPN or network gateway | 4 Oct 2026 |
| JSON Inspector | This device | No task-data request | 5 MB file guard; syntax validation is not schema validation | 4 Oct 2026 |
| Base64 Lab | This device | No task-data request | 10 MB file guard; Base64 is not encryption | 4 Oct 2026 |
| URL Inspector | This device | No task-data request | Parser requires a valid absolute URL for component inspection | 4 Oct 2026 |
| QR Studio | This device | No task-data request | Scanning depends on payload length, print size, contrast and reader | 4 Oct 2026 |
| UUID Generator | This device | No task-data request | Uses browser Web Crypto; uniqueness is probabilistic, not registered | 4 Oct 2026 |
| Image Lab | This device | No task-data request | Single supported browser-decodable image; device-memory limits vary | 4 Oct 2026 |
Release checklist
Material tool changes are checked against a repeatable baseline before publication. The exact cases vary by tool, but the release checklist covers:
- Valid representative input and expected output
- Empty input, malformed input and unsupported input
- Keyboard access, labels, focus visibility and status messages
- Phone, tablet and desktop layout at common viewport widths
- Copy and download actions where offered
- Task network requests and third-party dependencies
- Visible limitations, examples and help text
- Canonical URL, page title, description and structured data
Browser and device scope
The October review targets current Chromium, Firefox and Safari capabilities where practical. Older browsers, restrictive privacy settings, blocked third-party requests, low-memory devices and unusually large inputs can behave differently. A successful tool test is not a guarantee for every browser or production workflow.
How to report a reproducible fault
Send the page URL, browser and device, a non-sensitive sample input, expected output and actual output. Do not send passwords, access tokens, private keys, customer records or confidential files.
